CAUCHO METAL PERMOLCA (Known as CMP) was born in the early seventies as a metal rubber antivibration components' production section of Permolca, a rubber profile maker based in Logroño, La Rioja.

 

In 1985 CAUCHO METAL PERMOLCA, S.A. became an independent company, which is when the current production plant in Logroño was built, and where the company headquarters are based.

 

In 1991, the company changed its trade name to CAUCHO METAL PRODUCTOS, S.A. , but still maintained its common name of CMP. However, it was not until 1996, that the company changed from a stock company to a limited liability company, when it acquired its current name of CAUCHO METAL PRODUCTOS, S.L.

 

In the year 1997 and as a result of the fast growth experienced by the firm, CAUCHO METAL PRODUCTOS NAVARRA was created, with its production plant in Viana.

 

In 1999, within the expansion plan of the company, CAUCHO METAL PRODUCTOS ENBGEBOR DO BRASIL, LTDA, was created in Brazil with its production plant in Cerqilho.

 

In 2002, the Technical Centre began its activity at the Logroño site which integrates all the efforts of R&D serving all plants, as part of CMP's strategical plan for the future of Development and Quality.

 

At the beginning of 2004, Montajes Abrera, S.L. was created with its plant in Abrera, Barcelona , for the assembly of sub chassis'.

 

In October 2004 CAUCHO METAL PRODUCTOS GERMANY, the new Commercial & Service office began its activity in Limburgerhof, a town situated in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz to give a faster and more effective response to the German and middle Europe market.

 

In April 2005, was started the building of CMP plant in Sibiu ( Romania ). The start of production is forecasted in September 2006 .
